Introducing the Equip and Empower Project
At Holistic Tae Kwon-Do, we believe every child deserves the chance to thrive — to move with confidence, to grow in resilience, and to belong to a positive and supportive community. That’s why we’re proud to announce the launch of our Equip and Empower Project: a new charitable initiative that removes financial barriers to training, so that more young people can access the life-changing benefits of martial arts.
What is Equip and Empower?
Equip and Empower has been created to provide scholarships, uniforms, and essential equipment to children and families in need across our club locations: Burnham-on-Sea, Cheddar, and Portishead. Whether it’s covering class fees or supplying a student’s first dobok, the project ensures that no child is left out due to financial hardship.
This initiative isn’t just about training — it’s about helping young people feel seen, supported, and strong. It’s about equal access, real opportunity, and building a more inclusive future through Tae Kwon-Do.
Made Possible by Community Support
We’re incredibly grateful to Lancer Scott, whose generous £2,000 contribution has made the launch of Equip and Empower possible. Their support has helped us take the first step toward a more accessible and equitable training environment for children from all walks of life.
“At Lancer Scott, we are passionate about supporting initiatives that create meaningful opportunities and lasting impact within our communities. We are proud to announce our sponsorship of the Equip and Empower Project, a new charitable initiative founded by Holistic Tae Kwon-Do.
The project has been created to support children from disadvantaged backgrounds across Somerset, helping to remove the financial barriers that can prevent young people from accessing the benefits of martial arts. Whether it’s covering class fees or supplying a student’s first dobok, the project ensures that no child is left out due to financial hardship.
This initiative isn’t just about training, it’s about helping young people feel seen, supported, and strong. It’s about equal access, real opportunity, and building a more inclusive future through Tae Kwon-Do giving everyone the equal opportunity to experience the physical, mental, and social rewards that come with martial arts training.
More than just a sport, martial arts teaches life-long skills such as discipline, resilience, and self-confidence. By making these opportunities accessible, the Equip and Empower Project aims to help young people grow and thrive, both in their personal lives and within their wider communities.
Our sponsorship will directly support the launch and ongoing delivery of this fantastic initiative. As a company, we are committed to creating positive change beyond construction by investing in programs that encourage inclusion, well-being, and personal development.”
